So, what is Pokemon TCG? Put simply, it’s a collectible card game based on the popular anime and video game franchise Pokemon. Players build decks of cards featuring various Pokemon creatures, then battle each other using those decks. The goal is to knock out all of your opponent’s Pokemon, or to deplete their deck of cards.
To start playing, each player needs their own deck of Pokemon cards. These can be bought in pre-made decks, or you can build your own from scratch. Once you have your deck, you’re ready to start playing!
The first thing you’ll need to do is choose which Pokemon will be active in your deck – this is called your “bench.” You can have up to six Pokemon on your bench at a time. Once you’ve chosen your bench, it’s time to start the game!
Each player takes turns drawing cards and attacking with their active Pokemon. When one of your Pokemon knocks out another player’s Pokemon, you take a prize card. The first player to take all of their prize cards is the winner!
